PB Technologies is selling an AMD X2 DC5000+2.2GHz for $399+GST and a INTEL DC 5400 2.7GHz for $499 +GST. What are the main differences between these systems apart from speed? Is AMD as reliable etc as the INTEL? Is one better than the other? |

Reliability will come down to the mainboard you use to connect everything, main differences between the 2?...apart from non-execution, x64 and VT instructions, there isnt anything to differentiate except speed.....The Intel combo will be at least 25% faster IMO |

The latter has a faster CPU and larger hard drive. Therefore, the latter is "better", but only because it is higher spec. Reliability of both is equal. |

At that price the PSU is probably crap and will determine the reliability (or lack thereof) |
