| 879623 | 2010-04-24 10:52:00 | First of all, Limewire is a piece of junk. If you really want to use the Gnutella network, try something else. eg: Frostwire\Cabos\Shareaza. Antivirus will not be stopping it, and you shouldn't be turning that off, not with the amount of viruses you can find on there. (although Avast! has some features which can cause issues with internet connections) Firewall most probably won't be doing anything either. As long as Limewire is allowed in the firewall, it will work. Your problem is most likely that you have not opened the ports in your router, assuming you have ADSL. Check www.portforward.com, if that is confusing, come back and ask... |
