797642 2009-08-08 23:11:00 Dunno about that, a lot of the listed bands are better seen than heard. ;)

Quite true - and not being heard didn't hurt Milli Vanilli, well not until they got caught.

797644 2009-08-09 03:41:00 I'd rather see Lonnie Donegan

SurferJoe, I hope you are not serious about that, I think Lonnie died a few years ago and we need you here !

797645 2009-08-09 16:52:00 I was reminiscing about Les Paul on a different post, and even though of extended years myself, Ill stick around for a while to see how this all turns out - at least as long as I can.

Sorry for the mood deJour - my father died today.

797646 2009-08-10 06:36:00 Very sorry to hear that Joe, my father died in 2002 at 82 years old, I miss him a lot. To me it seems as if he walked out the door one day and never came back, all his things and the stuff he did around the garden all still here. I look after my mother now, she is 88.

Dad was one of the last to leave Dunkirk, he went back on a special mission to France 6 days later, he also fought in the desert campaign and at Monte Casino, he was in the Reconnaissance Corp.
