797812 2009-08-04 02:27:00 I know my dad will switch .. he uses voice calls and the occasional text. Nomad (952)
797813 2009-08-04 02:41:00 Where 2D is unavailable apparently it will roam with Vodafone?
Pricing is nice, but they need some sort of prepay plans similar to Voda with the Txt2000 & BestMates to convince a lot of the youngsters, as has been mentioned...

I was seriously considering switching, but the data plans are quite expensive :-/

Might just re-sign with Voda and upgrade my 3G to the 3GS :D

Calls 44c per minute to other mobile networks and landlines
22c between 2Degrees mobiles.
Texts 9c each.
Data 50c per megabyte.

Data is the same ripoff $512 per GB.
Calls not much different.

And it uses Vodafone which has totally crap coverage for us down here so Big fail for me.

797815 2009-08-04 03:04:00 I mainly only use my phone for irregular texting and receiving calls. 20c vs 9c, I'll probably switch. utopian201 (6245)
797816 2009-08-04 03:16:00 9c text is excellent.

With the Magic Top-up, it makes it look like the best to me.

I shall change soon. :D

22c for calls between their own phones ! - shows how much the other 2 have been ripping us off for.
Does anyone know what a voice call per minute is on the other prepay networks ?
The best way to stick it up the others is for as many people as possible to join Rhys Darby. I probably will just to get back at Vodaphone.

797818 2009-08-04 04:27:00 Voda Supa Prepay and XT are 89c/minute. Voda Motormouth, if you're still on it, is 49c/minute. Nermal (7077)
797819 2009-08-04 04:50:00 Putting together a lovely little excel spreadsheet, will upload it shortly, it'll do comparisons of all the networks / plans :D Chilling_Silence (9)
797820 2009-08-04 06:03:00 Great, I've just paid $30 for a SIM card with Telecom for my new phone (old one died) just a few hours ago. Ah well, I'll eventually change. Not a heavy user of txt or phonecalls (odd for a 21 year old) as I prefer IM Kindel (6640)
797821 2009-08-04 06:14:00 9c texting sounds great!

If your interested, you can get a free $2 sim card here (www.2degreesmobile.co.nz):).

Edit: Waiting for Vodafone and Telecom to announce new pricing soon :)
