| 880475 | 2010-04-27 11:25:00 | I have just bought a 46" Panasonic Plasma Full HDTV. Connecting it to my up-scaling DVD player the TV displays the movie at 1080p. My PS3 plays movies at 1080p on this TV without any problems. The problem I am having is when I connect my PC to the HDTV. The best resolution I can get is either 720p or 1080i. If I set the nvidia control panel at 1080p (1920x1080 native) the TV screen goes blank. the computer is connected to the TV with an HDMI cable. The graphics card is a GT220 (512mb). Any help to resolve this problem will be appreciated. :thanks |

| 880478 | 2010-04-28 00:40:00 | I've checked the manual and it says that the TV should be able to run 1080p through HDMI. I have also checked the refresh rate in the Nvidia control panel and it reads 60Hz. I changed it to 50Hz still didn't work so I tried 24Hz. Now I have a 1080p picture on my Panasonic HDTV.:clap Thanks for your ideas and help.:banana |

| 880479 | 2010-04-28 08:44:00 | I have 1080p on my HDTV but because the refresh rate is only 24Hz the TV flickers when watching video from the computer. There must be a way to have flicker free video. My main problem is that any higher refresh rate just gives me a blank screen on my Panasonic Full HD TV. The manual for the TV says that it supports 1080p 60Hz but I can see no settings that I can change that will make this a reality. I believe that the setting to achieve this must be on my computer because as I have already said I get excellent results from an up-scaling DVD player and from my Play Station 3. :confused: | GaryW (10329) | ||
| 880480 | 2010-04-28 09:03:00 | I hooked up two different PC's to my TV, Both through HDMI, Set the resolution to 1920x1080 and the quality of one was awesome, and the other just went to crap, It was just asking too much of the video chipset, It was drawing half frames and crap, looked absolutely terrible, refresh rate dropped to 30hz. I forced the settings I wanted and it just fell over. |
