882613 2010-05-06 02:47:00 Didn't know you had to. As far as I know, it just works. Works exceptionally well, too. linw (53)
882614 2010-05-06 02:55:00 How do I set up the spam filter in gmail? You don't - it 'just works'. If you find it's accidentally catching legit messages as spam, or passing spam messages as legit, just select the erroneously filtered message and click the 'Not Spam' or 'Report Spam' buttons at the top of the mailbox. 882617 2010-05-06 05:13:00 You may be able to set up a whitelist, and allow only emails from people on your contact list - don't know if Gmail can do this though.

Or if you use an email client you could install something like Comodo AntiSpam or whatever they call it now and just whitelist your contacts and block everyone else

882618 2010-05-06 08:41:00 GMail currently can't filter based on your addressbook, but it can filter based on who a message is from.

What exactly is the problem you're trying to solve here?

882621 2010-05-06 23:59:00 Thanks for your help Erayd. Found I block multiple domains with just the one filter.
