800742 2009-08-13 08:52:00 Highly unlikely - Microsoft has huge $$$ to spend on lawyers. They'll figure something out.

Now when is somebody going to sue Apple for their anticompetitive practices!

I'm waiting for to NVIDIA sue Intel and AMD for rights to sell and x86-46 chips. :D

800745 2009-08-13 09:15:00 Maybe MS might agree that the USA patent system is a total failure. mikebartnz (21)
800746 2009-08-14 02:05:00 Readers on this forum should remember that the majority of "judges" in the US are elected by the local populace. It is, of course, possible that some sane, intelligent person could get elected, but seeing the idiocy of the electorate in making other selections this seems unlikely.
Wouldn't it be great if the much vaunted "democracy" in the US produced satisfactory results?

800747 2009-08-14 04:50:00 Great? It would be a miracle if our parliamentary lot could reach any sane decision, and they are the product of generations of elections, possibly from a gene pool that is overdue for chlorination. R2x1 (4628)
800748 2009-08-14 10:18:00 Who cares? Office 2003 was the last sane version they made.

2007 and anything beyond that is just as deranged as Vista/Windows 7

I'd really rather use OpenOffice anyway (version 3 is very good)
