| 800833 | 2009-08-15 01:13:00 | Playing beautifully thanks, Terry, even on my old dunger. What amazed me when TV1 News played a BBC item on his death last night was that included no mention at all of his wife, Mary Ford. And apart from Meet Mr Callaghan, all of the songs on your list have vocals from her. In my memory, the 2 names were inseparable in the hit parades. It was always "Les Paul and Mary Ford." |

| 800834 | 2009-08-15 02:24:00 | I know a guy in NZ with an ftp (Greg listening?) I have E'd it to him already. Hi Joe. Sorry - I didn't notice this thread until just now, (I don't know the guy's name at all) and I only occasionaly check my Gmail account. Anyway, I've uploaded the mp3 to here (www.forcenz.com). It'll only be there for a limited time to save on excessive bandwidth. [oops - I see Terry has already uploaded it!] |

| 800835 | 2009-08-15 03:06:00 | Here's another bunch of Les Paul and Mary Ford from the early 50s, these are not on Joe's list. If you were at least at school around 1951/52 they will be familiar Carioca (www.box.net) Little Rock Getaway (www.box.net) Mocking Bird Hill (www.box.net) My Baby's Coming Home (www.box.net) and..Nola (www.box.net) This is Nola played by Paul Whiteman and his Orchestra (www.redhotjazz.com) in 1929 :) |
