Lots, its not uncommon for my flatmate to have 100% strike rate on items that prompt for extended waranty.

Yes. Most people judge things by how well their particular item did.
Much better to take a large quantity and see how well they stack up compared to others.
Every brand can have problems, I prefer to stick with the ones with the lowest failure rates.

That thing is far too broad, HP Consumer stuff can be a bit meh, but their business stuff is awesomely reliable.
