Yes exactly what I was thinking when I heard the news report. Poor little girl. I know we can't do it but some sort of licence to be a parent should be required. All the sc-fi authors solved it that way. |

As usual, the law is an onerous nuisance for "fit and proper" owners, and is ignored by the totally unsuitable owners. I suspect it is almost as effective as The Bradford Bill. |

My thoughts are that in both those cases, the parents are better adjusted, more caring, and the children more fortunate than the offspring of some drunken illicit coupling. These couples went into the arrangement after much soul searching on their part - and objective assessment of their parenting suitability by the adoption agencies concerned. So please, more objectivity and much less homophobia here. And my heart goes out to this poor unfortunate child. |
