883874 2010-06-05 12:51:00 Satellite doesnt support HD.

Well apparently you can tune into SBS HD via Optus D1. And they are broadcasting every game of the FIFA World Cup in HD.
I don't have a dish. If I did, I'd be giving it a go, probably getting a hybrid tv tuner that supported both terrestrial and satellite signals.

883875 2010-06-05 13:04:00 i know this is abit off topic. but if i got a freeview HD set top box and plugged my uhf airial into it, would i be able to plug the set top box into a standard tv via AV plugs? (don't need HD images, just though that it would be eaisier than having to drill holes and run cables through the house when analog gets cut off goodiesguy (15316)

883878 2010-06-06 06:03:00 Looks like 11 games will be live on TV1 and TV7 as well. NOT all games maybe live, it looks like there's 22 in total Speedy Gonzales (78)
883879 2010-06-06 06:54:00 And coming off satellite, the HD is possibly DVB-S2 rather than regular DVB-S psycik (12851)
