883949 2010-05-11 22:56:00 The tabs seem to be all on one page or within a few pages? If so, why not just photo copy for reference. Or maybe search if a free online book exists, or Amazon may have a online book cheap... kahawai chaser (3545)
883950 2010-05-11 23:47:00 cardboard box .
And the book will somehow stay upright?

Use a laptop :p
Can't do - 1) There isn't an ebook version available, and more importantly - 2) I can only bring in the book but not a laptop for the open-book test

Make a larger hard cover for the book:
Score fold lines on cheap/free op shop plastic placemats or cardboard plus duct tape . .
Brilliant idea! :D

Carry it on its own - ie no bag

Sheesh :(
In a wet and rainy day, that book won't survive the ordeal of being carried around .

Can't do . Not allowed to bring photocopies of the book into the test .

As opposed to a shop that moves so you can't find it I guess?

883955 2010-05-12 03:34:00 Open book test.

Personally I don't really need the book, but it is always good to have it in case I can't recall the exact legislations that pertain to the cases.

883956 2010-05-12 07:33:00 For a serious answer, my daughter used to have a hard plastic book container for some of her text books. I'm unsure of what sizes they come in but I'm sure somewhere like Warehouse Stationary might be able to help you out.

I'll ask her about it when she gets home and try getting a pic to you. From what I remember, it folds down flat and you fold and lock it with tabs. Let you know later if I can.

883957 2010-05-12 08:19:00 Move the stickys closer to the spine, so only 5mm or so sticks out. Even if you can'y see text on them, they're still a quick index to flick through. Paul.Cov (425)
