883644 2010-05-11 03:59:00 OK, but have you tried disabling the firewall temporarily anyway? Agent_24 (57)
883645 2010-05-11 06:09:00 What version of utorrent? I found when v2 came out my connections and speeds dropped considerably. I removed v2 and reinstalled v1.8.5 I think and the speeds and connections are back up there.

Mike.

883647 2010-05-11 06:13:00 Mike: Interesting, I noticed no difference.
All I can think is that v2 may have changed some settings for the worse and caused problems

883648 2010-05-11 06:37:00 Mike: Interesting, I noticed no difference.I noticed it right away... I left it a couple of days, went through settings and online help to see if I could find how to get the speeds up again, but nothing. The moment I started the old version after reinstalling, the speeds were back up again. It was VERY noticeable.

That said, that was on a beta version of v2 if I recall correctly... I haven't tried it since then - I turned the updater off. It may not still be like that...

Cheers,
Mike.

883649 2010-05-11 06:46:00 Weird. Yeah might be worth it to try v2 again now, since it's out of beta now (wouldn't surprise me if the beta version caused the problem) Agent_24 (57)
883650 2010-05-11 08:06:00 Utorrent 2.0.1
No change with firewall off.

Its got to be some setting inside uTorrent thats causing this, anyone really know the ins and outs of the software?

883651 2010-05-11 08:18:00 I fixed the issue.
After reading above I reverted back to 1.7.2 and its working fine again.
