884024 2010-05-11 22:42:00 XP SP3 with Itunes installed plus the bonjour service.

Is it fine to leave bonjour there or do you guys get rid of it?

884025 2010-05-11 23:20:00 I just disable it. John H (8)
884026 2010-05-12 02:18:00 Yeah, when itunes started it told me what would not happen w/o bonjour and none of them mattered so disabled it stays.

Thanks.

884027 2010-05-12 02:49:00 It's not *too* bad to leave it going. I'm not 100% certain if the likes of the iTunes Home-sharing and the Remotes function without it, but if you're not going to use those features it won't matter if it's disabled.

That said, bonjour is a *very* small application, uses next to no RAM or CPU, and it doesn't hurt much if you *do* leave it enabled :)

884028 2010-05-12 03:44:00 Thanks for that info, Chill. Bit of a non-issue it would seem.

Just that I saw it did something with DNS and didn't fancy it fiddling with the network!

884029 2010-05-12 05:32:00 You may get a reminder or two when you start iTunes, but it seems to give up on you after a while! John H (8)
