883630 2010-05-10 11:17:00 I have just recently got a docking station and external monitor for my laptop.

I want to plug the laptop into it while it is in sleep mode and the lid closed and press the power button on the docking station to wake it up.

The problem is that when I do this, if it was previously using its internal display it sends the video there even though the lid is closed. I have to open the lid and press FN+F4, then close it, which puts it back to sleep, then turn it on again.

Is there any way to either configure Windows to switch the display automatically when it wakes up docked, OR to trigger the FN+F4 interrupt (or whatever it is) from a key combination on the external keyboard?

I tried to remap a key to the FN key, but the FN key does not have a keycode.

Nice! Will give that a try. Thanks.
