| 884519 | 2010-05-13 10:01:00 | hi folks. have problem with opening OE 6. when I click onto OE. it wont open & I get message as follows:- O.E. has encountered a problem & needs to close. on clicking "click here" I get the following:- Error signature. AppName:msimn.exe AppVer:6.0.2900.5512 ModName:core.dll ModVer:3.1.5.5 offset 008c102. there is another page to click on but it's full of stuff that leaves me for dead, & I couldn't understand it anyway. I have tried system restore but couldn't go far enough back, downloaded IE.8 on the assumption that I would get an updated OE. as well but no joy, does IE8 not have an OE. included? I've tried installing another version of OE. --no good,Also downloaded a new version(6) from Microsoft & this didn't work either, message from that was:- installed version is a later version than MS.version 6. thanks for any help. |

| 884521 | 2010-05-13 10:57:00 | Welcome to PF1-- Doing this in reverse-- Agree with gamejunkie - using your whole email is not a good Idea, I'd suggest you PM a Moderator and see if they can change it by removing from @ onwards. The OE Problem - try this -- Click start/ Run, in the box that opens type in sfc /scannow Press Ok or enter -- let it run through, it may ask for your Windows CD so have it handy. Once finished, reboot and try OE. Do you have a second account on the PC - if so does that open OE OK? You may need to re-register the dll files as well. to do that: Click Start, and then click Run. Type "cmd", ( without the quotation marks) and then click OK. Type the following commands in this window and press the "Enter" key after each one. On each pop up window, click "Ok". regsvr32 urlmon.dll regsvr32 Shdocvw.dll regsvr32 Actxprxy.dll regsvr32 Oleaut32.dll regsvr32 Mshtml.dll regsvr32 Browseui.dll regsvr32 actxprxy.dll regsvr32 softpub.dll regsvr32 wintrust.dll regsvr32 initpki.dll regsvr32 dssenh.dll regsvr32 jscript.dll regsvr32 vbscript.dll |
