803195 2009-08-21 07:21:00 Hey, I find that many workers in office are under 50, do older workers depart and go to elsewhere?

I find that there are not many 50+ year old workers other than the odd General Manager . Many managers / team leaders these days could be under 40 or even under 30 .

I could imagine it, not many people want to attend regular meetings, do teh same work over and over again on this frequency through their calendars . Weekly that, fortnightly that, monthly that, 3 monthly that, annually that thing . Submitting reports . . . . . .

Cheers .

803197 2009-08-21 08:31:00 After 50 they get old and work from home so they can nap at lunch in the sun with the cat hueybot3000 (3646)
803198 2009-08-21 08:50:00 It's damn hard to break into office employment if your over 40 and have no experience but do have quals no ones interested in hiring you, this I know from personal experience. I need to leave my type of work due to ongoing injury and I'm damned if i'm going to work at the warehouse about the only place that would hire me, despite having been studying hard gary67 (56)
803199 2009-08-21 10:12:00 Except that I spend my work hours in an office, and I am a shade over 50. (A very dark shade ;) )

I have a few quals, all irrelevant. Only qual required for this job is that annually you must be able to fog a mirror and not be outright condemned by the police.
