Hey my mate is going over to the US soon and is thinking about buying an external hard drive while over there and asked me what would be a good brand to get, so I told her Maxtor or Seagate. Was I wrong? |

I buy "raw" drives (no enclosures) and just drop them into my docking station. |

I wouldn't buy any external drive prebuilt, I'd make my own custom one... |

Why not just buy one here? I doubt it will be much cheaper over there and if you run into problems a warranty in NZ will be better |
