| 804323 | 2009-08-26 02:57:00 | Jeez mate, not much really, 2006 CPU (overclocked! $75), 4Gb is std fair DDR800 ($100), old 88GT ($75-100), case and HDD ($100).. No real value in 2nd hand goods with computer parts really, with exception of maybe Graphic cards... Is that M/B P35?, why do you want to upgrade?, if it were me, I'd buy a new Intel SSD, the new model with TRIM and maybe update the graphics.....if you are really keen, get a C2Q.... |

Desktop in my sig, id keep monitor and watercooling Ignore Solmeister, there are plenty of people buying second hand with lower specs than that still. (Desktop I mean, not that server) The general rule is 70% of the cheapest Pricepsy price for components. Maybe slightly less because of age...... And sometimes it's surprising what idiots on Trademe will pay for this sort of thing. If it was me, I'd keep the usable stuff - monitors, PSU (unless you're going to a real high-end graphics card), HDDs, Optical drives, even case if you're still happy with it. I only ever just keep swapping bits out of my PC, it never gets replaced - it just evolves. |
