804305 2009-08-25 22:34:00 Unlike me really, I present the following for your perusal:

The crypt above Marilyn Monroe's final resting place just sold on eBay for $4,602,100 . 00 .

The crypt is located in the Westwood Village Memorial Park cemetery near the UCLA campus in Los Angeles . It belonged to Richard Poncher who died 23 years ago at the age of 81 .

His wife, Elsie decided to sell the crypt to pay off her $1 . 6 million mortgage on her Beverly Hills home . If the ebay bidder is authentic, she now has enough money to pay off that mortgage and buy a vacation home .

No word on what happens to Mr . Poncher's remains .

The auction reads: "Here is a once in a lifetime and into eternity opportunity to spend your eternal days directly above Marilyn Monroe" . :drool

Well - that's until your relative decides to move your remains and re-sell the crypt . :blush:

This $4 . 6 million price tag makes the crypt, based on square footage, the most expensive piece of real estate ever sold .

:2cents::2cents:
