803955 2009-08-24 21:40:00 I want my lounge which is fully carpeted to be given a mean clean, Its probably 4m by 6m. Maybe the bedrooms too while Im at it.
Any recommendations? They all so far seem to be blimmin' expensive.

803956 2009-08-24 21:41:00 Check out the hire and do it yourself kit that is available from most Supermarkets. :) Zippity (58)
803957 2009-08-24 21:56:00 Good idea, I see the rug doctor seems to be the most well known. rob_on_guitar (4196)
803958 2009-08-24 21:58:00 Just check to make sure it's been cleaned before you use it.
I don't know why you can't just use Shake N Vac :D

How much?
The best I could do here for 2 rooms, 3.58 x 4.2 and 4.8 x 5.5 was $110.
When we left Akld 3 1/2 yrs ago I got 3 rooms done for $40.

803961 2009-08-25 03:04:00 Hired Rug doctor from countdown 2 weeks ago. I recommend it. Was easy to use and did a good job. This was the 2nd time I have used one, the first time I did all lounge chairs and the car seats as well. This time was just my dining room and lounge and hall - took about 2 hours. Only pain was the constant filling of water reservoir. sam m (517)

Ah, so you haven't tried neglecting to empty the grotty water tank yet? That can be spectacular in the right spot. (In front of the fireplace is not the absolute best place.)

Don't ask.
