| 1452516 | 2018-08-09 12:34:00 | Hi :) I'm moving to the UK in a few weeks and was wondering - I will be selling the gaming laptop I bought only a year ago (ASUS something - can't remember the model no). I was wondering if I will incur any taxes if I went and sold it in the UK? I'll be moving to a proper PC setup (yay!) because I won't have space restraints anymore. I'm applying for part time jobs and one of them have offered me £12,000 a year which puts me just over the first tax band if this salary tool is right. Will I pay tax on selling the laptop? It'd be a significant sale (£800-1000 ish?) which is why I'm a little concerned about it. Should I be? Thanks! :) |
