1452202 2018-08-01 05:52:00 I was browsing through some DVDs there and any title that "Ships from and sold by Amazon AU" cannot be delivered to New Zealand. So we can buy from .ca, .com, .uk, .de, etc but not from across the pond

Looks like there's lot of unsatisfied customers with .au www.productreview.com.au

1452203 2018-08-01 07:58:00 Good grief.

So, the only region that shares our (totally unwanted and inconvenient) DVD region code is Australia, and it's the one zone that you can't get a DVD from.
Sounds about right. Maximum inconvenience. Got to remember, the customer is a pain in the A, and it is the role of all in the distro chain to mess with you.

1452204 2018-08-01 22:32:00 The irony is that all the other Amazon stores will ship any DVD to NZ.. I've bought them from the US and UK stores. paulw (1826)
1452205 2018-08-02 05:18:00 Even ordering from the German site is easier, it's crazy! I got the OZ only DVD I wanted from EzyDVD, several bucks cheaper than what AmazonAU were selling it for. Beav (17610)
1452206 2018-08-02 19:28:00 I just ordered a new handheld GPS from Amazon.com as it is around $160 cheaper than anywhere else I can buy it from. gary67 (56)

You could have got it from me ... an as-new Garmin GPSII with a reserve of $30 didn't get more than a couple of tyre kicker nibbles. :( Still available if anyone wants a stand by.

Easy enough to reprogram, I just did that with an older Philips - just so I could play a Region 4 DVD.

Bugger. I just bought husband a new Navman, well a almost unused one off Trademe.

His old one was too old, battery stuffed and old maps, so not worth swapping the batter this time round, I got it for $45.

Some of us don't have smartphones still.....

1452211 2018-08-03 07:48:00 I had a look at the address that Beav gave in his original post. There were a lot of terrible reviews. Bobh (5192)
