2018-07-25 22:59:00 | Just had another call telling me that my computer is faulty. He had a hard to understand accent but I played along anyway: "Which one do you mean? I have three." He hung up very quickly. That's SWMBO's answer and it works very well. If you receive one of these calls tell them that you have more than one and which one is the faulty one? That usually gets rid of them smartly.:clap

2018-07-25 23:29:00 | Had one yesterday, spoofed called id to appear from Christchurch 0354838198. Said my windows was sending out errors so I asked him what's my IP address in the logs. Click. | Beav (17610) | |
2018-07-25 23:50:00 | I understand the impulse to try and baffle them or string them along, but personally I just hang up on them. I get these calls at work every now and again from "microsoft", it's obviously not micorsoft for a whole bunch of reasons. At least they seem to stick to landlines so far, I don't have one at home.

2018-07-25 23:59:00 | The last one I had, had a difficult accent - so I asked where she was based - 'In Scotland' - do I started asking in great detail about 'What part of Scotland'. She hurriedly hung up. The previous one - well, I wasn't as near so polite! | R.M. (561) | |
2018-07-26 01:02:00 | I just ask them "Have you told your mother you are a thief?" Hang up is the usual response. | John H (8) | |
2018-07-26 01:49:00 | I really get into a fury with these bstards. I call them liars and thieves, and tell them they'll be going to hell. The last one to try was only last week. Got the usual telltale pause and click before they could speak, so my first words were "this is going to be a bullsht call isn't it". Click. No words even spoken to me. At least they seem to have learnt not to call after 8pm any more.

Click. Had the same call yesterday, 0354220184 BH asked which one was at fault, she strung him along for a while and they hung. Beav we are still a 7 digit phone line, I put brackets round the 035 and it became a live connection. lurking. |
