1451604 2018-07-16 05:11:00 Very nice, almost as good as a typical Kiwi sunset :p

Our winters don't compare to yours. Right now the sun is shining, there's very little wind, and it's 15 degrees C (That's 59 of your American degrees) It's really quite pleasant outside.
Of course it was miserable and wet this morning, but I have a desk job so it's of no concern to me.

One of these days I must head south to check out the southern lights, and if I think it was worth the trip I could think about heading north to collect the set :)
The trouble is it's a long trip south just to look at a pretty sky.

1451605 2018-07-16 05:13:00 But ---- we is getting warmer and youse guys is getting colder. Penguin-weather!

The little tuxedos will be waltzing up your streets and alleys any day now looking for handouts and a decent slice of Rhubarb Pie - a la mode!

Hide your small children and pets! Killer Penguins are a-coming!

Big deal!!

That's because youse guys are close to the Fukishima Ichibon Triple-China Syndrome* melt-down and your skies are all irradiated .

I'm protected here in my haven of Montana by three of the US's contiguous states and a few different mountain ranges from Seattle, San Francisco, and everything in Oregon and Washington for the matter .

*I don't think that's right . . . . I mean - if the melt-down was in California, then it was called: "The China Syndrome" which was a pretty good movie even though Hanoi Jane was in it . Then the melt-down would continue all the way through the earth to China - somewhere .

Hence the name: "China Syndrome" --- get it?

What IS adipose (NZ = 'opposite') to Fukishima Ichibon anyway? New York? No biggie, I mean - just asking .

I saw a professor in California say that the Funishima-thingy would last a minimum of 40 years until it could be cool enough tho get a not-as-yet-invented AI robot into there to sort things out . That didn't make the papers either!

Well --- outta sight is outta mind .

1451609 2018-07-16 08:08:00 My strawberries are flowering, the freesias have flowers out. Pretty warm for mid winter huh.

I prefer mild to being on fire every summer anyway.

Looking east, North Shore. Sailors are minding their sheep, shepherds are busy being seasick. Others - not so much. Coffee helps.
