| 1451526 | 2018-07-14 07:22:00 | $35million . What the hell. Just no . www.stuff.co.nz The bill for Pike Mine re-entry is expected to blow out. The $26 million is not enough money  Even $26Million is simply far too much to enter a mine for a look around . They may never be able to recover any bodies, so $26-$35Mill, really. Do the families not think thats too much . Isnt it about time everyone just says NO , instead of stringing the families along for political gains. ? |

| 1451529 | 2018-07-14 09:21:00 | Lets face it, the Government doesnt want anybody to find out that some of the miners at least could have been rescued if a Stupid Policeman hadnt forbidden the Mine Rescue Team entry to the mine. I'll bet the Government isnt game to call International Tenders for suitably qualified Mining Companys to enter the mine and recover all the bodies they can. Theyd probably recover all the bodies and reopen the mine before you knew it. The boys in Thailand were real lucky that guys that knew what they were doing were allowed to run the show. :) |

However, I suspect Labour have made the promises, got the votes, and are now looking for a way to wriggle out the situation. Time will tell. ;) |

| 1451535 | 2018-07-14 22:57:00 | This whole situation pisses me off more than words here will allow. They're dead. Get over it. They did a dangerous job and they died. Yes, it's sad but move on. What's left is already entombed. And some stupid bint showing up on the News last night on behalf of the families saying the whole country is supporting them and the Guvvmint should spend any amount it takes just put me right over the edge. |
