1450050 2018-05-29 01:05:00 I need to set up a system with XP to program an old radio.
I have an elderly system here that started life on XP so should be able to get drivers for it.
I have several XP CD's here but was wondering there a XP ISO available to make this easier.

Why must it be XP? Sure Win7 won't work?

1450054 2018-05-29 04:24:00 Would XP in a VM work?
I used an old licence to install XP in a VM with Virtual Box on my windows 10 PC, took forever to finish updating etc but it works well enough.
I have XP SP3 an a disk from back in the day, but even that is painfully old. You can run into the issue where the browser is too old to access the updates to update the browser.... I think I solved that with chrome.

A lot of time and effort, and I can find no use for it now that it's working :)

1450055 2018-05-29 05:03:00 Ive tried win10 & that didnt work.
Ive been advised that XP will work.
So I will try XP.
I'll download all the lastest available drivers before I start.
Shouldn't need to go on line at all once its up & running.
I just need a ISO with the latest version of XP.

1450056 2018-05-29 05:13:00 If you have the CD you can always make an ISO from that.

Other than that, you're missing some info.

XP Home
XP Pro
XP OEM or Retail ??

Whats the key allocated assigned to ?

1450057 2018-05-29 05:52:00 Good thing you mentioned that.
Just hunting through a box of stuff with this old system & found a disk with XP Pro SP2 & key written on it.
I'll try that & see how it goes.
