1449866 2018-05-25 02:05:00 wainuitech, I finally got FiibreX and the Ultra Hub and Router installed. You may be able to clear something up for me please.

With the old Modem/Router combination I could switch all my equipment off and just leave the modem running and access WiFi with my Tablet.

With the new setup I can't do this.? I am not sure what is going on, but can you confirm that all I need to have power to is the Ultra Hub and Router to achieve this or am I missing something.?

1449867 2018-05-25 02:12:00 All you should need is the Router and Ultra Hub. There must be something else odd going on. What other equipment are you turning off when your tablet stops working on the wireless? wratterus (105)

My setup is a mass of wires and plugs and I guess I will have to narrow it down by the process of elimination but I wanted to be sure that I was on the right track.

1449869 2018-05-25 10:47:00 Haven't seen any of the Latest equipment, but on mine there is a blackish box ( the modem) this has no wireless capabilities at all, that's connected to the Jack on the floor via a Coaxial Cable - goes outside to the box on the side of the house.

The Modem goes to the WAN port in the router, The Router is what provides the wireless from the office. Tried to tidy mine up a bit since I got a new desk. The smaller box is only one of the several gig switches I have in the LAN. There are a couple Wireless access points in various locations :)

You can turn off the Modem and still have a LAN but wont have internet.

I'm using the stock equipment as I sold my other TP-LINK Router.
