1449820 2018-05-23 00:18:00 When I try to do so, I get the message "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your System Administrator.

Now it is our own home PC, so I will be the System Administrator. So presumably I go to somewhere in the Control Panel. Have Windows 10.

1449822 2018-05-23 01:06:00 Thanks for the suggestion 1101, however it seems that your link only refers to Outlook (and Internet Explorer).

However, happily, I have had a rush of blood to the brain, and suddenly thought - what if I transferred the links from the Word Document to AZZ Cardfile. I have done that and the links work fine. Relief !

1449823 2018-05-23 03:07:00 Can't you just copy and paste the link into your web browser address bar, worked for me just now when I tried it.

It's a security setting in your browser or a problem with the default browser associated with hyperlinks from what I can gather, not sure how to fix it though. Setting IE as the default browser might work if you can live with that.

1449824 2018-05-30 00:38:00 Thanks dugimodo, however that way I would have to open the word documents then copy and paste. Easier for me to open AZZ Cardfile and just click on the one I want. Appreciate your replying though! Misty (368)
1449825 2018-05-31 03:15:00 I've seen various solutions offered that are similar to this one (www.msoutlook.info). That looks like it refers to Outlook, but it seems to have a general application. If you have changed your default web browser lately, it may be worth a look. FWIW hyperlinks in a word 2016 doc work fine for me. Tony (4941)
