It seemed to be, originally, a name for unmarried people, possibly trying to hide the fact that they are not married. I am proud of the fact that I am married and am proud of my wife. If I was not married I would most probably refer to SWMBO as my girlfriend. In other words, tell it as it is. I would not be trying to pretend that she is something that she is not. Let's not pretend. Don't use "partner." What's wrong with the term "de facto"? Or "couple"? That is certainly telling it as it is. I dont have a Wife. just a big empty hole in my heart whre she lived. Two year anniversary in a few days & i am feeling it already. To all those who a Wife, partner. companion, or even a serious relationship. I wish you well in your happiness. Lonliness is a right bastard. (sorry ladies) PJ |
