| 1451453 | 2018-07-12 22:08:00 | I don't know if they always did it but a lot of pictures in articles now have something like "file photo" underneath as a small caption which tells you it has nothing to do with the actual story. They might as well draw a cartoon for all the use it is, but hey the public like pictures right? I don't like Trump as a person, but I don't feel qualified to judge him as a politician. I struggle to follow politics personally, I believe we should be informed and understand the issues but my brain disagrees and wanders off onto other things when I try :) I tried watching a political debate one time, might as well have watched schoolkids slinging insults at each other. It amazes me how long a politician can talk without actually saying anything or answering a single question. At least trump lets you know how he feels I guess. |

Re the defense budget as a percentage of GDP, US spends about 3.6% v about 2% for most of the NATO members, if they stopped invading countries, their spending would be way down. |

It should be compulsory reading for any Politician or public servant who is tempted to open immigration floodgates to the third world. Best European examples of society turning to sh!t are Sweden and Belgium, but Germany is close behind thanks to Merkyl The interesting thing to note is how the so-called Free Press have been cornered into not reporting bad news. In Britain, Pakistani Muslims in Rotherham and other cities who have been involved in serious cases of grooming under age girls for sex are simply described as Asian men. A slur and affrront to Asian men of the many ethnic groups that don't engage in the practice. |

Only 5 of the 29 NATO members spend 2% or more of GDP on Defence (2% is the agreed NATO minimum level) Britain just sneeks in by using smoke and mirrors, lumping expenditure into the Defence Vote that doesn't contribute to the Defence of the Realm. ( All military Pensions are put down as current Defence expenditure - I draw RAF Officers Retired Pay, Have been doing so for 35 Years, i am now in my late 70s - somehow I don't think paying my and 10s of thousands of others an Armed Forces pension contributes to actual defence. Germany, the richest European country, relying totally on the NATO shield spends no more than 1.6% of GDP on Defence. Trump is quite right, why should the US taxpayer pay to defend Europe, when the Europeans are not prepared to pay, especially since the EU teade policies discriminate against the USA. |

In theory they should be well qualified to manage the finances of a country. In actuality they get voted in on charisma, promises and as a vote against another. Many couldn't budget their household, never mind a country. Most are there as a power trip and for whatever they get out of it. Instead of logical debates they resort to sniping at each other and name calling. I guess it beats dictatorships, royalty and other methods that have been tried over the years though. |

And don't speak about helping me to open another a kangaroo farm . I tried that before with youse guys and with all the money I sent, I haven't seen a New Zealand Original Farm Fresh Kangaroo Steak yet . I sent the money to Mr . Metla - and I think he still owes me a beer . Just sayin'! |
