1451806 2018-07-20 23:49:00 Yes - I remember that day as well. I was pregnant with our first son. 'Himself' was glued to the radio (and then the TV when it was available in NZ). R.M. (561)
1451807 2018-07-21 00:12:00 Yes, we were living in Sydney at the time when we were able to watch the TV broadcast live. Just about the only thing out on the streets moving was public transport, and then with very few passengers on board ... everyone else was glued to the TV.

If I recall right, NZ had despatched a Canberra bomber across the ditch in readiness to collect a copy of the tape and bring it back in time for the evening TV news broadcast.

1451808 2018-07-21 02:49:00 I was working at the Telecom Compac terminal for that week and week had a non censored feed from NASA. Listened to the who thing. I went across the road to get a drink during the moon walk and there was hardly a car in site. Normally this road was very busy at that time if the day.. And then the date on the Auckland Star of Moonday July 21.1969 paulw (1826)
1451809 2018-07-21 03:01:00 I was more interested in my latest toy at the time, so remember nothing about it....

I did, however, watch Hidden Figures last night. Pretty good if a few "artistic" inaccuracies.

Some very smart ladies....

1451810 2018-07-21 10:03:00 I did, however, watch Hidden Figures last night.

I enjoyed the book better, but saw the movie too.

Having had kids I would say either crying, peeing or crapping...... maybe all at the one time.
