1449558 2018-05-15 06:02:00 I have disabled Defender, and installed Malwarebytes V3.2.2 with good results except that Windows keeps notifying me that both Defender and Malwarebytes are disabled, and also that Malwarebytes is out of date. This is nonsense!

I have now removed (with the help of Linux FatDog) all folders and files belonging to Defender. The message has changed to Defender has been un-installed, but Malware bytes is still disabled (its not). I then disabled "Security Center", and got the message "Enable Security Center" . I want to know where these stupid messages are coming from?

In Windows 7 you can go to 'Action Center' and tell it to ignore any particular message in future.

1449559 2018-05-15 06:41:00 The setting you are looking for sounds like the notifications - Simply turn them off. ( easiest way) Go to the search, type in Notifications Open the result - turn them off.

Bit of a mickey mouse way to disable the security centre, removing folders will only cause damage. Why not turn it off the safe way ( scroll down the page) disable-or-remove-windows-defender-security-center-app-in-windows-10/ (www.askvg.com)

1449560 2018-05-15 08:29:00 I removed Defender to see if the notifications would change, but apart from replacing 'defender disabled' to 'defender uninstalled', the message remained the same including Malwarebytes being disabled as before .
I disabled Security Centre to see if the notifications would stop, but was replaced by 'enable security center', so I did it . Funny thing is if you look at the security center it makes no mention of defender, and shows Mallwarebytes as 'on', no issues! Still sends false notifications to the desktop .

Security notifications are not turnoff-able in settings .

Please excuse the American spelling 'center' :)

1449561 2018-05-15 09:17:00 Centre /Center Dont think it really matters in the big picture . :) Depends on what dictionary is installed as to what the spell check will do . Try going on some of he American forums :waughh: Enough said .

Seen a few problems with Malwarebytes on customers computers, it all changed when they have tried to "develop" it further .
