804747 2009-08-27 06:13:00 Would anyone happen to have, or know where to find, one of the original VHS players? The older the better, I am hoping to get my hands on one of the first models in country from the early 80's preferrably with the wood grain finish.
Cheers

804750 2009-08-28 01:33:00 You're probably better off just getting a DVD player tbh. roddy_boy (4115)
804751 2009-08-28 02:12:00 I suspect he wants it for a prop or collectors item..?? paulw (1826)

With a name like "Antonia" I suspect another gender...not that it makes a lot of difference to the original query :D

804753 2009-08-28 05:06:00 The only player I remember from that era with the wood grain case was the Philips Video 2000 system, I think thats what it was called.

804754 2009-08-28 05:16:00 Why not get some wood and make a VHS-shaped hole with it? wratterus (105)
804755 2009-08-28 09:53:00 I remember Vanvi's in Cuba St (where Whitcoulls is now), had/sold them, fairly sure it was Philips, the cassette carriage popped up vertically, from the top of the machine.
