885360 2010-05-17 10:46:00 PowerDesk is not free.
They used to have a Pro version and a free one.
The original developers(Ontrack) of PowerDesk also had a program called ZipMagic. It was great as you could open programs and documents as if the zip file was an ordinary folder.

I'm using Powerdesk Pro version 6. They don't seem to have a free version on their web site now although I too know they used to and Pro 7 is there but I'm not upgrading.

885363 2010-05-17 21:27:00 Personally I've never had the need for any other Zip program since Microsoft incorporated Compressed zip folders into its XP, Vista & 7 operating systems. Although I do have Winrar installed to handle the *rar files I come across. BigBadBob (14963)
