I was stuck in a lift in Surabaya on a piss/business trip once with a mate who then proceeded to light a smoke and choke us and I desperately needed a piss. The locals I think hand cranked it up very slowly and kept stopping, got annoyed knocked out a top panel and crawled away through a gap, was real drunk at the time. Waited for yonks for my mate who wasn't concerned I had done a runner from the elevator. We still laugh about it now when we are on the piss. |

| 805973 | 2009-09-01 09:54:00 | There's also a fantastic invention called the cellphone, which you can use to make phone calls to the shop whose lift you're stuck in, or if you're really panicking, 111. Unfortunately, usually the office/shop staff aren't trained in how to open a lift. |
