My oldest CCFL is a 1980 something model, probably 1987 or 1988; it is still the best light I have for illumination. I don't totally eschew those old corkscrew lamps, there's a bunch of them in the car, and another in the fridge., but if it wasn't for the fact they are cheap, I wouldn't be too keen on most of the modern CCFL offerings, shoddy unpleasant looking rubbish. |
