| 805083 | 2009-08-30 00:44:00 | Sorry all. Right, my wife and I have for some time wanting to get rid of the Telecom charges $49 a month. We are already using the Xnet river plan $31 a month which needs the Telecom switch board from Nelson. We are thinking seriously of purchasing the ata box and going onto Xnet fusion $69. And were asking the question I suppose, what is the popularity of the Raw broard band We don't have a phone line here - we use TelstraClear Cable internet, and either use mobile phones or 2Talk for phone calls. It works out cheaper to simply pay mobile call rates, than to pay a monthly line charge for "free" local calling. I think there have been some mixed comments here lately about Xnet's quality of service, so maybe it would be worth looking for other options? A few people I know use Snap, and they've been quite happy with it: www.snap.net.nz |

The cost goes up from $69.95 to $89.95 if Nelson is deemed to be rural like Taupo is. I am with xnet fusion and earlier this year they started charging me the $20 extra. LL |
