| 886806 | 2010-05-21 05:17:00 | I had done a reinstall of xp pro on this laptop great but !!!!! dell used to show a signal strength meter in the bottom tool bar down by the date. What I think has happened is now "window's " control the wireless network whereas before dell utility did so how do I get it back to being controlled by dell utility-program and show the signal strength meter again I don't want to pay the geek person any more if I can avoid it |

When you install it, it should take over the Wireless. 3.OR open the control panel/ network connections, Wireless Tab, untick the use wireless Zero configuration. The other software should take over. Its a bit late now - But the old install would have had all the drivers in a sometimes hidden folder in the C drive - just in case you cant download them, or no CD's are supplied. |
