806170 2009-09-02 08:06:00 I didn't see any thing about how far the bike can travel, or how it goes up hills. rebels181 (14841)
806171 2009-09-02 08:09:00 Kinda puts me in mind of a Segway. I rode one once, fun, but...practical? jcr1 (893)

806173 2009-09-02 11:28:00 Seems like a great idea, but I don't like the hand position. Why couldn't they bring the bars up so the are somewhere near say waist level and you could rest your forearms on them It seems like it would be much more comfortable. Tony (4941)
806174 2009-09-02 11:29:00 It has a range of around 7 or 8 Km; presumably that is in calm air and on flat ground with a new machine and a new battery. YMMV.

The biggest problem with penny farthing bikes was the tendency to let the rider do a road suck at potholes, or when trying to stop. I suspect that hasn't changed much.
Still an appealing concept though, even if it is as practical as cotton coffee pots.

806175 2009-10-02 21:27:00 Take a look at the video (www.youtube.com) just posted. Shows handling of potholes, uphill etc.
Brilliant!

806178 2009-10-03 00:44:00 I am sure yuppies with too much money will buy one for a talking point and it will sit in the basement collecting dust. prefect (6291)
