886763 2010-05-21 02:06:00 Yesterday I ran ESET Online Scanner www.eset.com to see if avast had missed anything.

It found this:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\LostRun.exe probably a variant of Win32/Agent trojan

I Google the file & it tell me its apart of windows so I think it maybe a false positive?

Any thoughts?

The Google results are all over the place with some claiming it was part of a VIA driver package.

Try uploading it to virusscan.jotti.org to get opinions from all the major AV scanners in one go.

That’s probably how the file came on my computer, as recently we changed graphics cards, and that might had been left over.

Some say it’s a Trojan & other say it safe: virusscan.jotti.org

But to be on the same side I have renamed the file & if windows boots OK, tomorrow, I will put the file in the Recycle Bin.
