886457 2010-05-20 04:25:00 For my birthday, I got a Smiggle 2GB USB Bracelet (www.smiggle.com.au) which is a USB flash drive. Anyway, I plugged it into my computer and decided to transfer some files to it. About halfway through the transfer, it said it couldn't copy a file because the disk was write-protected. Ever since, I can only open files as read-only. However, after a bit of googling, I found this: www.trademe.co.nz It claimed it had a write-protection switch on it. My one doesn't. Can anyone help me? bot (15449)

Have you had a feel around the rubber enclosure? With that form-factor it would almost certainly be a pressure switch. You may find a 'soft spot' with a little poking around. It could be at either end or even in the female section that the plug goes into to close the loop.
