886187 2010-05-19 08:25:00 Hi, Im running Windows 7 Ultimate. I have been trying to install Photoshop 11. When I click on the install file It comes up with a system error saying that the prgram cant start because the file MSVCP80.dll is missing. It tells me to try and reinstall the program to fix this problem. But since I havent installed the program I cant. I dont know what to do so if anyone has any ideas that would be appreciated.

Thanks

886189 2010-05-19 09:16:00 Have a read of this article (social.answers.microsoft.com) - it relates to Photoshop and the same problem.

It appears to be a common problem esp with adobe products  surprise surprise.

Straight to the point question: Is the Photoshop 11 legit ? -- Not a torrent downloaded from someplace ?

886190 2010-05-19 09:28:00 Yeah PS 11's legit quark (15122)
886191 2010-05-19 10:16:00 The reason for asking that is a lot of the same problem all seem to stem from torrent sites Eg: pirated versions.

Did you try the two solutions in the link posted ?

886192 2010-05-19 21:12:00 No it won't, neither will the one I got for my Father.
It does not like 64bit Win7.
Maybe the next version will.
In fact the older ones won't install either.
There is no fix.
