806353 2009-09-02 11:13:00 I am intending to put up a reasonable number of items for sale and some auctions will be for just one of a number of identical items so I'll be relisting when (if!!) each one sells. I see that some people have an enormous number of listings running at the same time so surely they don't have to manually reload the auction (even using quick relist) after each sale?

So, does TM have an automated relist for this situation? I've searched the site and their help files but can't see anything but quick relist. I though they'd have an option to auto-relist unsold items.

While I'm on about Trade Me, I have a completed purchase that I cannot delete from my 'Items I Won' list. When deleted it goes through all the motions but the listing stubbornly stays put on screen. I can delete other items I've won so why is this one sticky???

Cheers

806354 2009-09-02 11:17:00 When you list an item there is a auto relist option:

Also-have you placed feedback for the item you won?

806356 2009-09-02 20:01:00 remember to list things at a time when most people are at home and likely to be surfing, it's not much point having auctions finishing at say 2am or even 11am Monday if you want to have lots of bidders. 7pm is a much better time or even 9pm when most people have put their kids to bed gary67 (56)
806357 2009-09-02 23:18:00 Yes I get sick of seeing multiple listings of the same item.

It just clogs things up.

I really want them to end at 10pm Sunday. According to TM that is one of the times when they have the most people on line. On the other hand though, I like auctions that end at difficult times (other than the middle of the night) because I can usually arrange to be online at that time and I've scored some great buys like that. I recently bought $150 (value) worth of vintage radio parts for $12 because the usual vultures were not looking. I'll admit I was helped by the seller listing them in an unusual category, but I found them via an automatic search and I'm sure the vultures do that too.

I took a look at that link thanks, but it is for auto-relist after an item sells, not after the auction closes. What I want is the item to roll over even if not sold and that seems to be how some commercial users have their listing set up.

Yes I look for unusual finishing times if I'm a buyer but not if I'm a seller

806360 2009-09-03 10:36:00 Here's the answer, dammit:

Specify the number of multiple identical items you have and an identical listing will be created each time an item sells (with either reserve met or Buy Now). Only one listing will be created at a time, until you have sold the number of items that you specified. If your item does not sell it will expire normally, and a new listing will not be created.

Bugger.............

806361 2009-09-03 22:37:00 Sometime I found it's easier to list and sell similar items as a bulk lot, if I'm not too concerned about getting a optimum price. Depends on the specifics of the items, eg size, original value, etc. Clothing is an example. kahawai chaser (3545)
806362 2009-09-03 22:50:00 Also, I'm sure I have seen sellers listing a item(s) cheap (e.g. a used/immobile car) for a $1, then offering to create a separate auction for specific parts for interested buyers. This I guess saves listing numerous parts. Maybe a similar setup might be applicable to you.

Many lower valued household items, I found it less hassle to give them to the local hospice/church stores or list dirt cheap just to get rid of them.
