887375 2010-05-23 03:40:00 after playing grand theft auto (III, Vice City, San Andreas) for a while, or any 3d game. my screens will go blank and the sound will cut off and i will have to restart my pc.

is their a fix for this? it never did it on my old pc. i have the latest video card driver. maybe a minor issue?

887376 2010-05-23 03:49:00 sounds like a heat issue on your video card possibly what temps are you hitting? gary67 (56)
887377 2010-05-23 03:59:00 i am unsure. i have left the pci slot below it blank so it gets air. should i put in a fan at the front of my pc? it could help air flow, i have 1 at the back goodiesguy (15316)
887378 2010-05-23 04:27:00 without random guessing and stabbing in the dark, it "may" be heat, can you post your basic Machine specs, CPU,RAM,GPU,O/S

Does your event viewer give any clues?

887383 2010-05-23 04:57:00 Get the 32 bit or 64 bit version of this one depending on your O/S:-

www.alcpu.com

Run it minimised and play the games.

887384 2010-05-23 05:08:00 Check both the graphics fan and heatsink and the CPU fan and heatsink for dust/fluff buildup. Make sure you look at the heatsink too.. pctek (84)
