807837 2009-09-09 08:20:00 We already are on the correct side of the road. :p

Not according to what I've read. About 75% plus of the worlds motoring population drive on the rite

807838 2009-09-09 08:22:00 Only with Hawaii, but we have very few Samoans here in SoCal - although there is a small contingent of them in LA somewhere .

Mainlanders don't talk about the outposts like Hawaii or Guam or New Zealand . Oops! Did I let the cat out of the bag?

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhsh! Say NOTHING! You never heard anything from me!

Prepare NZ to drive on the corrected side of the road very soon . This is a warning!

Hey and then Samoa will switch back so that their bus driver exports don't have to relearn again . .

Why Don't We Drive On The Same Side Of The Road Around The World?
www.i18nguy.com

Edit: It is a little known fact that before about 1929 many American cars were built with right hand steering wheels, following the horse drawn coach layout where the driver sat on the right. Sometime around then a federal law was passed making LH steering wheels mandatory.
This can be seen if you look at old films from the 20s.

Then 75% of the world's motoring population drive on the wrong side of the road. :p

807841 2009-09-09 17:25:00 Our boats (smallcraft) all have right-hand drive, but it's for the propeller torque that wants to raise the right side of the boat and they figger that a driver-ballast on that side keeps the craft natty.

One thing my great grandfather said was that the US drivers used some vehicles with right-hand drive positions for the mud that was thrown by the opposing vehicle.

Driving on the right side kept some of the mud splash off the driver - and that's what that was all about - he said.

It is extremely good planning to separate the opposing lanes with an ocean.

But that doesn't apply here, Joe . Didn't you know that our engines rotate in the opposite direction?

Phew! I feel a lot better now knowing that!

What happens mid-ocean when an Upsidedown Land seafaring ship meets any other country's ocean liner in mid ocean? Huh? ? :xmouth:

Must be a perception thing - since being and living upsidedown would make you think that way.
