2010-05-24 00:53:00 | Info here (windows.microsoft.com). According to that you can only upgrade to Win 7 Pro or Ultimate from Vista Business | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |

I just dont want to buy the family upgrade disc (as there are 2 other laptops in this house that can go to 7) and realise i cant get my laptop on it. | aidanmaz (7180) | ||
2010-05-24 01:16:00 | Pass, only way to find out is to try it. I've never done a clean install from an upgrade cd / dvd | Speedy Gonzales (78) | |
2010-05-24 01:40:00 | I don't know for sure but I tried that once with Windows 2000 upgrade, it had the option to do a full install but you had to insert an original Windows 98 CD at some point to prove you had an old OS you were upgrading from. The same may be the case for Windows 7, but I don't know. Microsoft should be able to tell you...

2010-05-24 06:32:00 | All of them, they're HP :p Seriously though, they were ranked worst in laptop reliability, I wouldn't buy one even if they didn't overheat. www.electronista.com

2010-05-24 07:09:00 | Yeah have seen the chart, the probooks/elitebook's are awesome, very reliable - its a shame they all get tared with the same brush, but I guess thats always going to happen with a consumer perspective. Don't see too many over heating issues with the consumer ones either, there is the odd one (always AMD) that suffers, but mostly the over temp because they are full of lint.
