| 887253 | 2010-05-22 10:48:00 | I have a Chimei CMV T38D 20.1" lcd monitor, and am having trouble with the native setting that my vid card sets the resolution at. It is at 1400x1050, and in win xp pro it was fine, but now I've got win 7 32bit, and although the resolution is set at the same level as in xp, the desktop image is cropped at a different level Here are my screens as they are set up. Main Screen img.photobucket.com Second Screen img.photobucket.com And this is what its supposed to look like img.photobucket.com And whats worse, is that any movie that I watch has some of the picture outside the edges of the screen, and cant be changed....I usually use Media Player Classic....and have been right through all the settings, and cant see a way of fixing it................and its the same on any of the resolutions that I set the vid card to. I read yesterday that if I had the right drivers for the monitor, that it would fix these issues......do you think this is right??? It seems that I cant get the drivers for my monitor.....i have looked fairly extensively, and the most things that say they have the drivers, only have a file called "the driver dectector" and once you've installed it and done a search, they say you have to buy the software before you can get the drivers. Can any of you help? I have a GeForce GTS250 vid card that is running both my screens, my other screen is a Neovo F-417. |

| 887256 | 2010-05-23 02:35:00 | Shouldnt make a diff, if youre using a Nvidia card on a ATI based system. You could try the onboard, dont forget to install the drivers for it first. Altho, it may or may not be as good as the Nvidia card | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 887257 | 2010-05-23 14:47:00 | It won't make any difference to use an Nvidia card on an ATi motherboard. In relation to your desktop wallpaper problem, I think you need to go into the wallpaper options and choose "Fit" or "Center" instead of "Fill" for the image position option. |

| 887259 | 2010-05-23 15:18:00 | Perhaps some kind of 'overscan' function has been enabled in the Nvidia control panel somehow? Nvidia also used to have a 'video zoom' feature. Played hell with me first time I got a DVD drive.... |
