| 810054 | 2009-09-14 05:21:00 | Bugger! :D Who forgot to check the handbrake (parking brake for SJ) was on in the rig???They're air operated "E-Brakes" that should set when the engine's off or it has no built up air pressure to release them. They require air to release them and somebody either built air for the rig or released the spring brakes manually. I'd have also rigged out the stabilizer jacks on the wrecker too to keep it from pulling sideways. But yeah - that's one big expensive result. I wonder if it was the owner of the truck or just an employee! Just a guess here: that wrecker cost about $300,000.00 USD. It's slightly more used now. |
