809541 2009-09-13 00:32:00 No I haven't but I would certainly be furious if it did gary67 (56)
809542 2009-09-13 00:40:00 There are 2 sides to every story. As a father of a young un, I know what a "lil tantrum" can involve
And what one set of parents sees as a small tantrum, another sees as a "OMG, look at that kid, glad ours isn't that bad"

809543 2009-09-13 00:42:00 Yeah, totally agree Myth, parents always claim their kid's an angel and could do no wrong.

But regardless, that's a pretty sad thing to do. No doubt someone lost their job over it.

809544 2009-09-13 01:02:00 While the delay was on they should have entertained the little horror in the kitchen - inside the oven perhaps? R2x1 (4628)
809545 2009-09-13 01:31:00 I completely sympathize with people annoyed at screaming kids in a restaurant.
People go there for some ambiance not to listen to a kid having a tantrum.
When my kids played up I took them outside until they got their stuff together and a couple of times I took them home early when they were playing up after saying sorry to people at next table.
In Nelson went to one place and they wouldn't give us a table the kids were about 2 and 5 at the time. At the time I thought fair enough would do the same if I owned a class joint.

809547 2009-09-13 03:40:00 that's a pretty sad thing to do .

It's a pretty mild thing to do . They didn't throw them out, they didn't make a scene - the kid was obviously doing that .

It gets the point across to the useless parents . Wait till the kid is bigger - she'll be having bigger tantrums .

And it must be common - its part of the till selection . . . . . . . . .

I haven't learned to read yet. But I'm trying hard.

I would totally understand people being asked to leave - but then I read this: The couple believe her mild protests triggered the shocking comment - despite being seated in the advertised 'kids' zone'.
If they advertise it, they should put up with it.

Just because its a kid zone, doesn't give license to run amuck . I won't let my children behave like that in McDonalds . My children know better, they get one chance and they only know that chance is gone when its too late .
